The platform aims to showcase talented individuals’ writing and to critically engage in the content they produce. It is essentially a woman-dominated & women-led space.

The Ubumbo Constitution challenges us to “Learn about the challenges facing our country, continent and world…” additionally for Ubumbo to “express itself respectfully and firmly in the public domain, such that it becomes a reputable voice on matters affecting development and transformation in South Africa…” The envisaged writing platform will thus be an embodiment of that.
The topics and themes that we will cover are poetry, gender, race, economics, Africa, travel, entrepreneurship development, project management, fashion and beauty, rural livelihoods, soil crop and climate sciences, physical health and wellness, finance, education, agriculture, politics, public policy & governance, chemical engineering, mindfulness, climate change, water security and urban land reform.
South Africa, Africa, and the world continue to be deprived of women’s thoughts, opinions, perspectives and teachings. More so those of black women. This is the main reason for us to seek to dedicate our time to create this writing space and establish a platform that embodies and celebrates the thoughts, opinions, perspectives and the teachings of women.
