Dear Mama
It has been eight months since your departure.
I think about you every single day.
I miss your smile, your hugs, your strength, and your wisdom.
My heart continues to bleed as I never got the chance to say goodbye.
I no longer cry, but I smile.
I smile because I know you are resting; you are finally at peace.
I smile because the memories I have of you remain.
I smile because your love was genuine and pure.
I smile because I am what I am, because of you.
Rest in power Mbokodo, your legacy lives on.
